So you are finally fifty;

Here’s to my Farmer……
Here’s to my Farmer whose work never stops,
Out forecasting cattle, combines and crops,
Surrounded by problems, he does what he can,
To feed and provide though he’s only one man.

Here’s to my Farmer at work every day,
Out earning his living the honorable way,
Not fancy or better, just hours on the land,
Out doing his best to give God a hand.

Here’s to my Farmer who patiently goes,
Courageously hoping to reap what he sows,
And as he receives he is willing to share,
The kindness my Farmer exhibits, is rare.

Here’s to my Farmer, Roger’s his name,
Really belongs in the Heart Hall of Fame,
Working our farm for generations to come,
Whatever it takes, he will do for our daughter and son.

His motto is built in at birth, NEVER QUIT,
There’s one thing for sure, this good man can be found,
Out living his roots so the farm stays around.
